About the role:

Pay rate:
Starting at an APS4 Level equivalent $44p/h + Super.

Contract:
Starting end of September after security checks have come through clear.

The contract is until the end of the June 2024 (financial year budget allocations) and is highly likely to extend or transition to a non-ongoing position and should be treated as a long-term opportunity.


Location:
Perth CBD with some WFH days after the required months of training and based on performance.

Hours:
Full time 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Flexibility is offered after the required months training.

YOU MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN TO SECURE A ROLE
We are seeking individuals that have a knack for Claims or managing a caseload with an analytical mind.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Actively investigating claims, liaising with clients and stakeholders (healthcare providers and medical experts) to supply evidence to inform decision making, chasing up documents and referral letters
  • Undertaking research and interpreting legislation to inform evidencebased decision making
  • Demonstrating highlevel client service skills, including phone & written contact with clients & internal/external stakeholders, having difficult conversations from time to time
  • The client engagement may last for the duration of the claim cycle and may include but is not limited to: providing updates on the claim investigation; requesting outstanding information and explaining to the client the claim journey.

Desirable skills and attributes for the role:

  • The ability to demonstrate empathy and patience for individual's circumstances is essential
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Experience working within the healthcare sector, claims, injury, finance, community services or managing a case load is highly regarded
  • The ability to read and interpret medical notes and legislation
  • Proven ability to gather information and make confident decisions
  • The ability to show patience and listen to clients over the phone
  • Demonstrated ability to follow process, policy and legislation
  • Resilience, a sense of humour, an analytical mind and a proactive attitude are all essential
  • Proven experience picking up internal software's and sounds knowledge of MS Suite.
