About the Role (Your Mission)

As a Senior member of the SAM team, you will lead consulting projects and collaborate with other team members. This is an opportunity to bring your positive attitude and extensive SAM experience to contribute to a fast-growing, award-winning team within our Australian Managed Services business. This team comprises diverse SAM and Licensing experts with a strong customer focus.

This position doesn't involve sales targets; it offers flexible work arrangements, making it ideal for professionals looking to advance their career by applying their SAM consulting expertise to various customers in commercial, government, and academic sectors.

Our offices are situated in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. While we value in-person collaboration, we also appreciate the benefits of remote work for work-life balance, letting you and your team decide on the most effective approach.

What You Will Do

  • Act as the Senior SAM Subject Matter Expert for customers and the SAM team.
  • Provide SAM Consulting services aligned with current technology trends and market needs.
  • Conduct Compliance Reviews for Customers.
  • Offer commercial and contract advisory services related to Tier 1 Software Publishers.
  • Enhance customers' audit readiness and defense preparedness.
  • Establish Vendor Management Frameworks for high-risk Publishers.
  • Review software licensing agreements for potential breaches or risks.
  • Utilize licensing rules and rights within SAM Consulting Services.
  • Develop and present licensing recommendations.
  • Lead multiple projects and customer contracts to successful outcomes.
  • Create license reclamation strategies for cost savings.
  • Propose optimization activities for reduced compliance risk and cost savings.
  • Utilize SAM technologies such as Flexera's FlexNet Manager Suite and others.
  • Analyze data outputs for accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with teams to define and optimize SAM standards and processes.

What You Will Bring

We seek an independent, proactive team player with a passion for delivering high-quality SAM solutions. Ideally, you possess at least 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management or related roles. Experience with Tier 1 Software Publishers, especially Oracle, is valuable.

This role can be based in any Datacom office in Australia. Australian Citizenship is required for Federal Government security clearance. Baseline clearance or higher is preferred.
