How will I help?

An Exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Network Engineer to join the Infrastructure and Secure Network services team in Group Technology.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting governance of infrastructure services delivered by partners, vendors and third-party suppliers, including technical validation of the supplier provided detailed designs and proposed configurations.
  • Supporting evaluation of technical changes, validation of supplier provided quotes and proposals, and assessment of supplier provided root-cause-analysis and corrective actions.
  • Providing Infrastructure & Operations domain technical expertise for resolution of complex problems/incidents or implementation of major changes.
  • Supporting service optimisation and continuous service improvement activities/initiatives.
  • Making recommendations for process improvements, in close collaboration with partners, vendors and third-party suppliers to ensure continuous service innovation and improvement within Infrastructure & Operations.
  • Providing support of SD-WAN/SDI, AWS, AZURE, GCP and Network Management Solutions across LAN/WAN.
  • Participating in design and build of Private links, VPN (SRX) & SD-WAN architecture.
  • Supporting in preparing relevant cost and budget estimates.
  • Supporting demand and capacity planning by overseeing analysis and development provided by partners, vendors and third-party suppliers.

What do I need?

  • Hands-on experience with Juniper SRX and Network trouble shooting.
  • Good understanding of AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience in the financial services sector, specifically with payment networks would be highly regarded.
  • 8+ years in a complex IT infrastructure environment.
  • Advanced knowledge in 1 or more relevant Infrastructure domains.
  • Strong analysis, problem solving and consultative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
