THE ROLE

As an Infant Swimming Teacher, you will have the opportunity to embody the YMCA philosophy and deliver safe, effective, and professional swimming lessons.

Your interest, enthusiasm, patience, respect, and innovation will inspire and motivate your students, creating a welcoming atmosphere where collaboration and interaction are encouraged.


You will work closely with a team of professionals to implement lesson plans that promote group teaching methods, stroke development, and water safety, all while fostering an environment that enhances student learning and engagement.

Your dedication to punctuality and professionalism will set the tone for success, while your commitment to continued learning and professional development will ensure that you remain at the forefront of your field.

But the impact of your work extends far beyond the pool.

By interacting with parents, communicating clearly and setting expectations in a healthy and respectful manner, you will set a positive example that will inspire your students to thrive both in and out of the water.

  • AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia Teacher of Infants and Toddlers accreditation
  • HLTAID009 Provide CPR
