St David's Neighbourhood Community Accounts


St David's Neighbourhood Centre generates income to support its work through the provision of aged care & disability services, hire of rooms and sponsorship.

Effective Account management is maintained through the issuing of invoices and statement, reconciliation of payments and follow up of outstanding invoices.


The Role:

This is a new position working at the centre in Coopers Plains. It is offered as permanent part time at 8 hours per month, reporting directly to the Centre Manager.

The role supports the financial viability of the organisation by preparing and issuing accounts each month for services provided, hire of the organisation's spaces and through sponsorship opportunities.

A person-centred approach is taken when resolving outstanding accounts to achieve the best outcome for both parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly accounts and client billing including data entry into the accounting system
  • Raising and sending invoices, issuing statements, reconciling accounts, and recording payments
  • Following up on outstanding debtors and communicating issues with team members
  • Relevant qualifications in accounts management/booking keeping and appropriate experience
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and dept collection regulations
  • Ability to work with limited supervision in accordance with operational guidelines
  • Solid data entry skills and ability to identify numerical errors
  • Ability to work as a team including with those from diverse backgrounds
  • Proven computer literacy in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Current National Police Check and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain one)
