About the Role:

The role of the information officer is to:

  • Enter data from production plod cards into production accounting system from previous 24 hrs
  • Drill and Blast
  • Development
  • Load & Haul
  • Vent / Services
  • Backfill
  • Surface ore trucking etc
  • Add new headings from Deswik (mine planning software)
  • Add new stopes from Deswik
  • Produce various reports using the entered data

About You:

  • Highly organised
  • Able to work well with other people
  • Understand work processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS office
  • Specifically word and excel
  • Strong attention to detail

Other information:

  • The information officers generally work a 10hr day (6am to 4pm).
  • The roster usually starts off as being 5:2 roster for a period of time (maybe 4weeks) for training up the person in the role, and have an opportunity to work across both crews, then move into a 7:7 D/S only roster.
