Senior Accountant, Core Plus Real Estate

About the role
We're looking for a driven Senior Accountant to join our Real Estate Finance team. As part of this team, you will manage and provide accounting services and operational tax deliverables for investment funds, ensuring compliance with QIC policies and statutory regulations.
Your responsibilities will include preparing specific fund statutory financial statements, management reports, unit pricing, and other deliverables with precision and attention to detail. Collaboration with various teams across Finance and the broader business landscape is essential, including funds management, property accounting, investment management, corporate accounting, client services, legal, and tax teams. Additionally, you will contribute to ad-hoc business projects and provide coaching and training to peers.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:
- Fund accounting responsibilities including NAV calculations, preparation of financial statements, and distribution determinations
- Management of accounting aspects related to property acquisitions and disposals, including settlement processes and asset valuation
- Compliance tasks such as regulatory reporting, audit preparation, and tax calculation, coupled with proactive risk mitigation and process improvement efforts
About you
You will be passionate about property finance and possess the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders. You will also have:
- Senior Fund Accounting and Real Estate industry experience
- CPA or CA qualification
- Proficiency in Australian Accounting Standards
- Strong Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for stakeholder management
- Proven organizational skills, adept at prioritization and meeting deadlines
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Self-starter with strong initiative and minimal supervision required
- Demonstrated expertise in process mapping and efficiencies
- Commitment to active career planning and development
