We are seeking experienced and empathetic Support Workers to join our team in Noble Park.

The role involves supporting a person with behaviours of concern and verbal aggression, ensuring their safety and well-being, and promoting their independence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and assistance to the individual, following their personalised care plan.
  • Implement strategies to manage and deescalate behaviours of concern and verbal aggression.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of daily activities, incidents, and progress.
  • Engage in activities that promote the individual's social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, families, and other professionals involved in the individual's care.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with behaviours of concern and verbal aggression.
  • Strong skills in deescalation techniques and crisis management.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, or a related field.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
  • A current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
