Cochlear has an exciting paid internship opportunity for an undergraduate University Student to join our People & Culture team, based in our global headquarters in Macquarie University.

We also offer flexible working arrangement. This is a fantastic role which will develop your business acumen whilst working in a global business environment.


As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will provide high quality support throughout the entirety of the recruitment process - from supporting the recruitment strategy to onboarding new employees You will also be involved in exciting projects across other areas of the People & Culture department, including People Advisory Service (PAS).


This is a brilliant opportunity to build strong working relationships, with the potential for an eventual pathway into supporting other processes within the employee life-cycle.


_ Your initial responsibilities will include_

  • Schedule meetings and interviews by effectively coordinating the diaries of various internal stakeholders and external applicants.
  • Communicate interview details and logistics using both verbal and written communication.
  • Assist in drafting job adverts and subsequently posting them on the required portals
  • Administer online assessments
  • Participate in key processes and projects aimed at improving organisational capability and performance and developing your personal skillset
  • Document and maintain team process and work instructions for both current and new processes across People & Culture.
  • Ensure information on Cochlear's Applicant tracking System (PageUp) is reconciled on a monthly basis, resolving any discrepancy issues.
  • Providing AdHoc support to the entire People & Culture department.

_To add value to Cochlear in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following _

  • Undergraduate student currently studying Human Resources (or a related degree) with strong academic record
  • Able to multitask, manage workload and meet agreed timeframes
  • Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated high level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy principles
  • Prior experience undertaking a HR internship with experience in Application Tracking System (PageUp/ Workday) would be highly regarded
