    Job description:
  • Provide advice and support the development of reserve plans for protected areas and a range of planning tools, for the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS).

    The position will manage a project to prepare an updated management plan for the Ben Lomond National Park in accordance with legislation and the PWS planning system and deliver the Divisions' strategic priorities.

Hours per fortnight:

73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Period of Appointment:

2 years.

Duties:


Provide advice and support the development of reserve plans for protected areas and a range of planning tools, for the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS).

The position will manage a project to prepare an updated management plan for the Ben Lomond National Park in accordance with legislation and the PWS planning system and deliver the Divisions' strategic priorities.


Desirable Requirements:

  • A graduate qualification relevant to the duties to be undertaken, as provided by a university, in a discipline relevant to science, environmental planning, recreational planning or natural resource management.
  • Post graduate qualification in geographical information systems, spatial analysis and/ or natural area recreation planning.
