We're seeking:

We are currently on the lookout for a Supply Planner to join our team in Harvey, IL. Reporting to the Senior Supply Planning Manager, this role involves forecasting and production planning for our manufacturing plants in Harvey, IL, Hobart, IN, and Phoenix, AZ. The individual will utilize analytical, marketing, and sales data to predict future product demand accurately, strategize inventory flow, analyze statistical data, and generate precise forecasts.

The ideal candidate will hold a business or supply chain bachelor's degree. Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based environment is advantageous.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly SIOP forecast consensus process; implement improvements to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Create and deliver precise monthly production schedules to plant management.
  • Provide production forecasts to supply chain teams to align raw material deliveries with production schedules.
  • Monitor delivery metrics daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet working capital objectives and minimize stock levels.
  • Collaborate closely with customer service and sales teams to strategize and secure large project-based orders.
  • Persistently seek lean opportunities to enhance existing tools and streamline processes.
  • Develop standard work documents outlining procedures and responsibilities.
  • Identify strategies to fulfill customer demand during supply constraints.
  • Engage in the monthly SIOP forecast consensus process; drive process enhancements to minimize forecast errors.
  • Collaborate with sales, brand, supply chain, and finance partners to acquire consistent forecast inputs.

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related fields.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in supply/demand/inventory planning.
  • Proficiency in creating Excel/Database files with advanced skills in SQL queries and pivot table construction.
  • Experience with MRP systems like JDE, JDA Fulfillment, or SAP APO.
  • APICS certification and familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean principles is a plus.

What to expect:

  • Within 3 months, complete the Atkore immersion program to grasp our culture, values, and strategic goals.
  • Understand your role and establish relationships with key stakeholders.

Within 6 months, aim to:

  • Work towards predefined performance and development targets.
  • Acquire an understanding of SIOP and its alignment with key goals.
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding process enhancements specific to your role.

Within a year, expect to:

  • Take full ownership of your role's processes and tools.
  • Provide comprehensive support to key stakeholders at Atkore.
  • Deliver results and achieve performance and developmental goals.
