The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Associate Director Clinical Services (ADCS) - Perioperative Services to join the Epworth Freemasons Senior Leadership team.
The primary function of this role is to manage the operational and business direction of Perioperative Services, and Health clinics within the strategic direction of Epworth Freemasons incorporating the Albert Street and Victoria Parade hospitals.
You will be responsible for the leadership and governance across 18 Operating Theatres, an Endoscopy and Urodynamics Service, CSSD, PACU, Day of Surgery Admissions and Short Stay Unit Reporting to the Director of Clinical & Maternity Services, this role will play an active role within the Senior Leadership Team at Epworth Freemasons focusing on theatre allocation and utilisation, service planning, risk management, building teams and delivering a culture of excellence supported by our purpose, "every patient matters".

Key areas of focus for this role include:
Providing strong, visionary clinical leadership across Perioperative Services ensuring effective operational management to deliver excellence in care
Having a strong leadership presence with our nursing and medical staff
Management of operational business including labour hours management, theatre utilisation
Aligning clinical education programs with specific training and operational requirements
To be successful in the role you will:
Be an experienced clinical leader, capable of engaging staff to deliver the Epworth HealthCare vision and strategic goals
Demonstrate a consistent record of delivering operational and clinical KPIs, including labour management and workforce planning
As a senior manager, be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive and engaging leadership style
Be passionate about patient care and clinical outcomes
Have effective relationship management
Have a proven track record in achieving excellence in clinical service provision
Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice perioperative trends
Be able to demonstrate recent success in building and leading teams
