Ensure consistency, develop tools, and support improvement initiatives for compliance frameworks in privacy and data protection, policy and process, and FOI. Foster collaborative networks to promote best practices in information handling across all departments. Deliver expert advice on relevant legislation, oversee compliance, and contribute to training and awareness activities for staff.

They will excel at building relationships, navigate sensitive situations, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally. This organised individual thrives under pressure, manages priorities, and works seamlessly both independently and in a team.

You will also have:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training. Expertise in privacy and data protection, FOI and related legislation and processes. Business analysis and process mapping skills and a demonstrated ability to streamline and simplify complex methods or concepts. An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the University context, its strategic plans, policies and organisational structure, functions and processes. The COO Portfolio is comprised of seven sub-portfolios covering all areas of our operations, including the newly established Operational Performance group. This has been established to drive and manage a program of operational improvement and service transformation, underpinned by contemporary business insights, data modelling, predictive analytics, digital tools, and service planning.
