This role will report into the Data Quality and Controls Manager in the Banking and Financial Services Product and Technology division.


As a data quality analyst, you will work with a diverse range of stakeholders, business and data teams to ensure that data quality meets requirements for regulatory and other external stakeholders.


The initial focus will be on data quality remediation for the Business Banking area, following which there will be cross training into other business areas within Banking and Financial Services.

The data quality remediation processes are a key regulatory reporting risk control. The timely execution of these processes is critical to ensuring Macquarie's compliance with regulatory obligations.

Your day to day activities will include:

  • undertaking detailed data quality reviews for banking products
- determining accurate reporting information with a high degree of attention to detail
- documenting supporting evidence for conclusions reached
- arranging source system updates for data quality remediation
- communicating progress against weekly volumes of data quality reviews
- escalating problems to management and governance teams where necessary
- scope of data includes loan purpose, property collateral, regulated flag, capital treatment

For success in this role, you'll bring the below:

  • tertiary degree in business, finance or related field
- business analysis experience in regulatory compliance projects
- financial services regulatory reporting experience
- a natural ability for communicating to a range of stakeholders
- sound problem solving and analytical skills
- the ability to work flexibly and manage multiple tasks
