The Role

Our client, a leading provider of premium tools and fire protection services in Port Hedland, is on the lookout for a seasoned Retail Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Port Hedland branch and oversee the new Karratha store set to open in early 2025. If you're a driven self-starter with a knack for exceptional communication and a passion for retail management, this could be your dream role

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in retail management
  • Inventory Management: Strong grasp of stock control and merchandising
  • Leadership: Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team
  • Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with retail operations and POS systems
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and high standards of workplace safety
  • Adaptability: Capacity to work in varying conditions
  • Industry Experience: Background in trades or the building industry is a plus
  • Forklift Licence
  • National Police Clearance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Drive new business opportunities and nurture existing customer relationships
  • Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer experiences
  • Sales Operations: Manage transactions, up-sell, and cross-sell products
  • Stock Management: Optimise inventory levels for maximum efficiency
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small team of casual staff members
  • Safety Standards: Maintain high workplace health and safety standards
  • Collaboration: Interact and support the North-West Fire Protection Service Team
  • Strategic Reporting: Collaborate with the Managing Director on business growth initiatives
