About the role:
As a fervent Christian with a passion for guiding individuals in practical expressions of their faith, you will be responsible for elevating philanthropic revenue and amplifying Tearfund's influence.

As a key player in developing and maintaining supporter relationships, you will strengthen the fundraising strategy, nurture existing and potential major donors, and contribute to the organization's financial stability. Your responsibilities will encompass strategy development, research, prospecting, and supporter management within a Christian discipleship context, focusing on meeting income and retention goals to support partners operating in challenging global regions.

This full-time or part-time role will be instrumental in Tearfund's fundraising strategy, allowing flexibility in your time commitment.

Position Location: Based in Blackburn, Melbourne, or Perth with hybrid work options depending on business requirements.
Requirements:

  • A strong personal commitment to a fairer and more compassionate world, effectively communicated through a theological lens.
  • Ability to build and manage supporter portfolios through personalized relationships and communications.
  • High emotional intelligence, motivation, resilience, and enthusiasm.
  • Offer strategic insights and data-driven approaches to enhance financial support, including analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to enhance fundraising campaigns and attract and retain donors.
  • Experience in donor acquisition and retention in the non-profit sector or customer engagement in a commercial setting, with preference given to engaging the Australian Christian community.
  • Track record of meeting financial targets and driving results.
