Senior Development Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Development Manager to join our Property team. This key role involves overseeing the successful design and delivery of various developments.
Working closely with the Head of Development and other parts of the Property and RSL LifeCare teams, you will manage customer needs and expectations, operational priorities, development returns, capital funding, product quality, risk, safety, and procurement to achieve financial targets and exceed market expectations.
Your ultimate goal will be to create a safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-optimised built environment for RSL LifeCare, its staff, customers, and visitors
About you:
- Minimum of 10 years' direct experience in strategic property development planning, initiation, feasibility development, and project management across a portfolio of multi-sited, high-value assets, ideally in an aged care, retirement living, healthcare, or similar setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the financial aspects (budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and negotiation) of capital projects and effectively manage stakeholders and contractor relationships.
- Tertiary qualification related to Property, Construction, Finance, Economics, or similar.
- Strong financial acumen and exposure to Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) modelling.
- Experience in managing the complete land and property development processes.
- Advanced-level knowledge of legislative requirements related to property development and asset management standards.
- Significant project management experience with well-honed analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and time-management skills.
- Ability to make decisions balancing commercial outcomes with customer experience and risk mitigation.
- Experience in leading and motivating teams, managing performance and employee wellbeing, and delivering on accountabilities.
