  • $68,884 per annum (including industry and uniform allowances) + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
  • (increasing to $71,286 per annum effective 1 July 2024)
  • Please note, progression in remuneration (up to Level 8) is available for this position upon meeting performance and training requirements outlined in a structured crew leader framework.
  • Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 6 of EBA5
  • 9-day fortnight
  • 76-hour fortnight
  • Location: Burpengary - please note, this role will be relocating to a Narangba location later in 2024

About the Opportunity

As a Parks Crew Leader, you will lead a small team of operational staff in maintaining green open space assets. Your responsibilities will include mowing, mulching, weeding, pruning, planting, and other general maintenance tasks.

You will also be in charge of creating, updating, and maintaining work orders, developing maintenance schedules, and managing resources and materials.

Ensuring safety is a priority, we are looking for candidates who have the necessary skills and physical ability to perform tasks safely, along with a commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.

About You

Ideally, you will have previous experience leading a small crew in similar tasks. Strong communication skills, administrative abilities, and proficiency in relevant technology applications are essential.

In addition to the above, you must have:

  • A current Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence
  • A Construction Induction Card
  • Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) certification or willingness to obtain it within 6 months

Having a Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, Landscape Construction, or similar qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
