Coastal and Islands Region (CIR) within the Moreton Bay and Great Sandy Area's are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their teams.

The purpose of these roles is to manage a range of administrative, financial support and human resource services for a team of Rangers that's primary function is to manage National Parks on Islands within Moreton Bay and Great Sandy.

The role's maintain databases and other information systems, undertakes record management duties, and assists in organising events. The role fields routine enquiries from proponents, team members and senior staff on the progress of applications and maintains and updates templates and prepares correspondence as required.

We are looking for passionate individuals that can perform in a fast-paced environment and performing the following functions:

  • Use departmental databases and information systems to manage accurate records, produce reports and statistical information. Manage office assets including phones, motor vehicles and office and field equipment.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to management and staff on a range of administrative matters including human resource management, financial management, general administration and the status of the work being undertaken and work procedures e.g. issuing of invoices and tracking of the progress of payments for permits and authorities, correspondence and records management systems.
  • Identify areas of operational improvement and assist in devising and implementing solutions to improve efficiency including the development of effective work practices and procedures.
  • Liaise and confer on a regular basis with staff of all levels and with external clients as required.
  • Assist with the administration of permits and licenses required under legislation administered by the QPWS.
  • Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
