An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced person to work as part of the Libraries and Lifelong Learning team to provide support and assistance to the community to access library services and resources and provide administrative support within the Library team.


The areas you will work across will include:

  • Perform all administrative tasks associated with the Library Services unit including, banking, notices, newsletters, updating policy documents, design of Library Services forms, and maintenance of files.
  • Prepare and deliver administration documents and training materials related to Library Services.
  • Maintain and organise all OHS records and documentation for the Library Services unit.
  • Coordinating bookings of the Ballarat branch library meeting room.
  • Contribute to the development of online content for the library via the website and social media.
  • Ensure new stock is processed efficiently and according to library procedure.

Essential Experience / Attributes:

  • Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent/short industrybased training course.
  • Demonstrated competency in an administration position providing a service to external customers.
  • Working with Children check.


This role is classified as Band - with a competitive salary of $32.14 to $34.30 per hour plus 10.5% superannuation.
