About the role:


Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Security Printer will be responsible for the operation of designated work centres to meet the production schedule, quality and safety requirements.

The role will work on a rotational shift roster.

Responsibilities include, although are not limited to:

  • Perform printing tasks required for work centre operation in accordance with company procedures and quality plans: set up, proofing, running, machine operator maintenance and cleaning, problem solving and material and product flow coordination to maintain security of product in the allocated work area
  • Measure and report key operations data: throughput, downtime, quality & work health & safety (WHS) issues, raw materials usage, spoilage, etc.
  • Coordinate the flow of product and materials with other work centres.
  • Ensure all consumables required are available at the beginning of the job and are monitored to ensure adequate levels of stock are maintained for the duration of the job.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of banknote manufacturing, by being involved and monitoring new process and projects.
  • Ensure a safe working environment through strong risk management and promoting safe working practices.

About you:

  • Trade qualified Printer with Cert III in Printing
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience or Senior Print
  • Experience working inside a team environment.
  • Understanding of business improvement techniques implemented in printing operations.
  • Technical and process based analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Welldeveloped Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Lean tools inclusive of 5S requirements.
  • Be open to flexible shift patterns.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Leads by example.
