Our client, a global EPCM within the mining industry, is looking for a Senior Project Engineer – NPI focused to work on a 12-month contract inPerth, WA.

Primarily responsible for managing the procurement of EPCM site office compound facilities. Additionally, will also manage a miscellaneous site contract to install the facilities, do minor earthworks and concrete, and any other pieces required to support the main construction contracts.

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitor progress and performance against the project plan; take action to resolve problems including minimizing risk and delay.
• Ensure the project deliverables and documentation meet client requirements and the specified engineering standards.
• Identify potential problems, risks, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement project controls, specifications, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Provide contract management including identifying & claiming variations, extensions of time, and other contractual entitlements.
• safely conduct work and ensure the works are constructed following safety.
• Monitor and expedite procurement activities for contracts.

Main requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• 8+ years of experience in project engineering.
• Experience working in an EPCM and major mining project environments.
• Strong experience in areas such as NPI, and mining infrastructure.
• Ability to execute effective leadership and direction to the project team as required.
• Ability to perform effectively in a team environment and foster good relationships.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills and undertakes tasks with diligence and attention to the necessary detail.
• Must be willing to mobilize to the site in 2025 and support the project at site capacity.

Key Accountabilities

• Design and deliver Electrical systems for Heavy Industry Mobile Equipment (HME) and Rail Development projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
• Contribute to design reviews and validation of various engineering designs and associated component selection suitable for application.
• Providing technical guidance on all Electrical Engineering Systems related to works being carried out, ensuring compliance to relevant standards.

As aPrincipal Electrical Designer,you will be focusing onthe primary purpose of this role is to drive and deliver safe and sustainable electrical design on a for various sustaining capital projects. Large component of the scopes will have brownfield elements; strong design capabilities on brownfield projects is key.
The successful candidate is expected to be able to lead and coordinate the design deliverables, coordinate work amongst the team, ensure technical integrity of the deliverables and conduct work in line with company procedures. Not all roles on the project will require the individual to work in a lead capacity however ability to quality check and sign off on deliverables on behalf of the discipline is necessary.

Provide technical direction, control and supervision for design on the project. Deliver the discipline's design deliverables within schedule and budget. Manage quality and consistency within the discipline. Coordinate change control and technical query process within the discipline. Manage discipline resources assigned to the project. Report progress of discipline deliverables. Resolve discipline technical issues. Maintain discipline task and deliverables lists for the project. Coordinate design with other disciplines and squad checking deliverables. Motivate and manage the team's performance, competency and develop staff within the group including the provision of on-the-job training. What you'll have

• A recognised design qualification (Advanced Diploma) in the relevant discipline or recognised Electrical trade qualification.
• A decent relevant experience in designing and drafting with promising experience recently in resources (or closely allied) industry, BP preferred.
• Proven lead role experience managing designers on multiple brownfield resources projects.

Essential:

• Experienced, competent user of AutoCAD, Microstation (2D & 3D).
• Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite, PDF Exchange, Bluebeam.
• Selection of electrical equipment (lighting & small power, control & wiring devices, enclosures).
• Proven experience in designing electrical deliverables such as:

Single line diagrams – HV and LV Three-line Diagrams Schematics for panels such as incomers, feeders, VSDs and motor starters. Cable schedules. Material takes offs / BoM. Electrical equipment layouts. Switchroom layouts. Earthing layouts. Earthing diagrams. Key interlocking diagrams. Primary and secondary schematics. Termination diagrams. Panel general arrangements. Lighting and Small Power layouts. Preferred:

• AVEVA 3D modelling packages, (PDMS, E3D).
• Hazard area layouts.
