The Document Control Officer role reports to the Head of Risk and Compliance and is based at our Kent Town office.


As a Document Control Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all documents in the Document Management System adhere to SYC's Policy Governance Framework and Brand Guidelines.


Day-to-day activities will include:

  • Quality checking all new documents and changes to existing documents
  • Formatting documents in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat Pro using SYC's brand and styles
  • Assist in maintaining document templates, procedures and work instructions for the Document Management System
  • Support the development and delivery of training to approved Authors in the Document Management System
  • Provide support with seeking timely endorsement from the SYC Board for policy documents
  • Collaborate effectively and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Support the Head of Risk and Compliance by compiling reports and providing ad hoc administrative support

About You
As someone who has strong knowledge and experience in word processing and administration, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Strong computer literacy with sound Adobe Acrobat Pro skills, as well as Office365 skills, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge and/or understanding of document publishing, including formatting and styling documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems
  • The ability to manage varying tasks and competing priorities

For this role you will need to:

  • Complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
  • Be eligible to work in Australia
