BDO Private Wealth Advisers is an established and self-licensed financial advice practice looking after families and individuals to help them live the life they want to lead.

We are part of BDO Australia and have offices around Australia with people experienced in a broad range of services and industries.

We offer leading accountancy, tax and advisory services to clients Australia-wide.

Current opportunity


Due to growth in our Sydney wealth advice business, we are seeking a Client Service Office (CSO) join our Private Wealth team.


You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and to work with individuals and clients ranging from small to medium sized business owners, professionals and senior executives.

Supporting two advisers and our in-house paraplanner, your key responsibilities may include:

  • Provide a point of contact for clients
  • Provide feedback to advisers and paraplanners on the status of client accounts
  • Ensure deadlines are monitored and client files are compliant
  • Prepare advisers to ensure a smooth review process for our ongoing clients
  • Maintain data in the client database
  • Finalise Statements of Advice and associated paperwork to accompany the advice
  • Draft professional and accurate client communications and documents
  • Liaise with a wide range of external bodies including platforms, banks, insurance providers
  • Obtain research and information as requested by the advisers or paraplanner
This position will have client contact and works as part of a team.

A genuine desire to be in a client-facing role where you can utilise your interpersonal skills to enhance the client service and contribute to a high performing team will set you up for success.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, a commitment to compliance and a willingness to learn. Ideally you have an interest in progressing towards becoming a Wealth Adviser in the future.

Ideally you will:

  • Have experience in a similar role or exposure to the Financial Planning industry or relevant qualifications and wiliness to enter the industry;
  • Hold a degree, or completing a degree in Financial Planning, or a relevant field such as commerce, accounting or economics, with a wiliness to undertake additional study in financial services;
  • Must be a team player;
  • High level of communication skills;
  • Strong relationship building skills;
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn new things;
  • Interest in progressing into a Wealth Advisor role.
