Are you a passionate and results-oriented Business Analyst with a desire to make a real difference in the community?

We are looking for a highly motivated BA to join our client, a local Council in Sydney, in a 12-month contract role. In this exciting opportunity, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's strategic goals through effective business analysis practices.

About the Role:
As a Business Analyst, you'll be a key player in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the council to identify opportunities for improvement, gather and analyse requirements, and develop solutions that drive positive change.

Do you have:

  • Proven Business Analyst experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar organisation, including leading the planning and delivery of end-to-end improvement projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) or similar systems in a diverse organisation is essential.
  • Project Management Prowess: Experience in project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with a knack for problem-solving and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with the Microsoft suite (Office365, Excel, BI) and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Independent & Collaborative: The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple responsibilities, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for Learning: A commitment to continuous learning and a desire to contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace.
  • Local Government experience

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in Local Government
  • Experience with the TechnologyOne Suite, Tambla, or Oracle.
  • Business Analysis or Project Management certification.
  • Current Class C (minimum) NSW Driver's Licence (preferred)
