The Team
Our Insurance & Health team is headed up by 33 industry leading principals across six states. Within the insurance space our award-winning team is known for producing high quality advice and delivering exceptional client service. The team handles claims across all major classes of insurance and acts for the biggest names in the insurance industry, both locally and overseas. The principals that head up the team for this particular position are Simon Black and Thomas Byrne.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join Simon Black and Thomas Byrne in our Sydney insurance team. The role offers a broad range of property, construction and statutory liability as well as professional indemnity matters.
The Successful Candidate:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Previous defendant insurance experience in the construction space, including with respect to investigations and prosecutions arising from alleged breaches of work health and safety and planning laws;
- Ability to build strong client relationships with a focus on client service;
- Effective communication skills;
- Ability and enthusiasm to mentor junior practitioners; and
- Collaborative and pragmatic approach.
