Job Type: Full time

Hybrid working: 3 days a week in the office 2 days working from home.

Verian Australia is the country's largest, and most specialised provider of government behavioural strategy, consulting, and evaluation services. With offices in six states we focus on providing government agencies with solutions to some of Australia's trickiest questions, like:

  • How do we enable the community to begin the process of developing a shared understanding of sexual consent – with the aim of reducing sexual violence and assault?
  • How do we protect women and children by continuing to contribute to the evolving community sentiment around respect and domestic violence?
  • How do we re-engage Australians and remind them how to travel safely overseas in a 'post-pandemic' environment?

This role will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a key contact for clients
  • Managing quantitative and qualitative projects of varying scales and speeds, ensuring efficient, profitable, high-quality delivery
  • Designing high-quality topic guides and other research materials
  • Questionnaire design and analysis using Q or SPSS
  • Contributing to reporting and presentations for varied audiences
  • Mentoring the team and support their work and development
  • Developing, over time, an area of specialist expertise (e.g. a policy area within our portfolio, a particular methodology, a contribution to innovation)

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a skilled well-rounded mixed method researcher, ideally in the context of behaviour change and/or behavioural science
  • Be passionate about Behaviour change, Policy development and evaluation within the social and government space
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Not be afraid to think outside the box and explore new ideas, using your creativity and innovation to solve complex challenges with our clients
  • Have previous experience in a social or market research agency
  • Have proven project management and leadership experience – strong client handling skills and an ability to coordinate a research team and deliver work to time and budget
  • Enjoy being with and advising clients on project issues
  • Be a real team player – interested in working with others to do great things and eager to learn from others in the team and support junior staff in their development journey
