GenesisCare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Radiation Therapist Unit Leader to join our team of experts in our Oncology Centre located in Darlinghurst within the St Vincents Hospital Campus.

On offer is a permanent full-time opportunity, working 38hours a week. Excellent remuneration available with annual salary in line with the New South Wales EBA.

More specifically, you will:

  • Responsible for leading the MRLinac program at our St Vincent's Clinic.
  • Undertaking associated duties ensuring the correct and safe administration of radiation therapy procedures on the MRLinac
  • Demonstrate a strong team and patient focus, which includes passion for improving both patient experience, and individual and team performance.
  • Ensure all administration and documentation requirements are initiated and completed in a timely manner.
  • Lead the support of staff in education, research, and development opportunities.
  • Lead the credentialing and onboarding of Radiation Therapists on the MRLinac
  • Contribute to the implementation of efficient & effective MRLinac workflow processes and evaluate and implement continuous improvement initiatives as identified.
  • Promote and contribute to an effective multidisciplinary team at the Centre and across the practice.
  • Actively support and champion GenesisCare initiatives to improve culture, quality, efficiency and effectiveness, taking on a leadership role within projects where required.
  • Lead MRLinac research projects.
  • Actively involved in referrer engagement initiatives.
  • Supervise MRLinac Quality Assurance programs including the MRLinac peer review meeting.

We're interested in hearing from people who possess:

  • Current registration with AHPRA and NSW EPA.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in stereotactic planning and treatment techniques.
  • Demonstrated current technical competence and leadership in all areas of radiation therapy.
  • Experience managing people and teams.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • A detailed understanding of quality improvement processes and change management.
  • A strong focus on the patient experience.
