This is an exciting opportunity to join Uniting SA's Marketing, Communications and Partnerships team as the Communications and Media Lead.

This essential role will have the unique opportunity toprovide strategic advice and shape the narrative for communicationsand media at Uniting SA.

You will be responsible for driving strategic communicationsplans to support business objectives and amplify our important workacross aged care, community services and housing.

On any given day you could be pitching a good news story to themedia, developing a communications plan for a major project orpreparing a speech for a major event.

You are a storyteller and wordsmith at heart and are passionateabout delivering high-quality, authentic content that helps ourbrand stand out and is tailored to each channel's audience.

Your storytelling magic will create an impact and shape perceptionsacross multiple platforms, audiences and stakeholders.

We're looking for an experienced and dynamic operator whocan hit the ground running, combining their expertise, strongstakeholder management skills working directly with CEO and Executives, and passion for the not-for-profit sector to delivergreat outcomes for our community and organisation.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead a coordinated approach to the delivery of Uniting SA's external communications to ensurehigh-quality content and high-impact outcomes, includingpublications, digital and print assets In consultation with managers, project leaders and Executive team members, develop, implement and measurecommunications plans to support projects, services andprograms Develop and maintain strong relationships with mediaoutlets, government, sector partners and key internal andexternal stakeholders Identify proactive media opportunities, pitch mediareleases and coordinate coverage, including prepping casestudies and spokesperson Support the planning and delivery of events and mediaannouncements, including the development of speech notes,presentations and correspondence Skills & Experience: Minimum 5+ years in a similar position Experience working in communications and media within alarge organisation Extensive communications and media strategy experience,including campaign and tactical development and delivery Experience and confidence working directly with CEO and Executive Management teams Experience engaging audiences through mainstream media, andsocial and digital platforms Experience developing and maintaining effective media andgovernment networks Experience in producing high-quality documents andpublications, such as newsletters, magazines andnewspapers Exceptional research skills, and naturally, strong verbaland written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and listening skills with theability to make sound, practical, logical, and balancedjudgments High-level strategic skills and influencingcapabilities Highly motivated, self-directed, and committed toteamwork In return, you will work in a compassionate, respectful and justcommunity in which all people participate and flourish.
