The opportunity:

Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne, Australia, in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world's leading privately owned packaging, paper and recycling companies. We're actively considering applications from mid entry level to highly experienced who are interested and passionate about a career.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will manage and grow established accounts in the nominated Sydney Western territory while growing Visy's footprint through prospecting and new business development activity. In working collaboratively with the wider sales team and other key stakeholders in our business, you will nurture existing customer relationships while looking to build new ones.

The Role

As a hands on, highly self-motivated and proactive Account Manager, you'll thrive in this highly autonomous and dynamic role. You will have a history of B2B sales and must be able to demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, motivation and reliability as well as have the ability to self-manage. Your strong customer service values are essential and an eye for detail is paramount. You will need to be able to concurrently manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. This is an exciting and diverse role, focused on relationship management and the development your client portfolio across Sydney's West.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Retain and grow existing business, and actively seek new business.
  • Develop timely and accurate forecasts of customer requirements and carefully manage your territory utilising
  • Develop & execute sales strategies.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities – be these in our own or in our customers' business.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders across a range of disciplines.
  • Actively comply and contribute to OHS&E policies and procedures.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Relevant skills & experience gained through Internal / External Sales, Customer Service, or Account management
  • Experience in Packaging and/or Manufacturing would be highly regarded
  • Experience in B2B sales would be highly regarded
  • Exposure to customer relationship management systems (CRM) & well versed in the use of Microsoft products.
  • Autonomous with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, solution focused.
  • Clear, personable communicator with exceptional negotiation and relationship building capability.
