About the role:


This position will support the Mission and Health Equity Directorate to improve the experience of trans and gender diverse patients, consumers and clients across the hospital through the development and delivery of programs and resources to increase staff capacity and confidence in delivering excellent health care for all.


The Mission and Inclusive Health directorate is responsible for mission, social justice and inclusive health across St Vincent's Health Network Sydney in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of St Vincent's Health Australia.

The directorate also has a specific focus on sexuality and gender diversity programs for staff and patients.

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience and/ or lived experience of assisting/accessing healthcare services for trans and gender diverse people
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, including presentation to audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and/or delivering education sessions
  • Demonstrated commitment to health equity and addressing healthcare outcomes of trans and gender diverse people and communities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
