About the Opportunity

The HR Business Partner is a crucial role which will partner with the NSW leadership team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources based in WA and partnering with the General Manager NSW, the successful applicant will be a proactive HR partner who is committed to driving best practice HR outcomes for the organisation, whilst being passionate about people.

The role is based in our NSW State Office in Lane Cove, however will be required to travel to our other NSW facilities from time to time.

What does success look like?

  • Provide high level, timely and professional advice to the management team in relation to all HR matters, including people & culture strategy, employment conditions, performance management, grievances, attraction and retention of staff, etc.
  • Be a trusted HR Business Partner to the NSW management teams
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Specialist with managing recruitment and on boarding from advertising vacancies through to assisting with orientation processes.
  • In conjunction with the wider HR Team, develop, implement and continuously improve HR documentation and HR systems including staff record keeping, position descriptions, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant workplace legislation etc.

What will help you succeed?

We are looking for someone with the following attributes and qualities:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply the Fair Work Act, Enterprise Agreements and other workplace related legislation/regulations
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Strong ability to listen and understand differing views and perspectives, and be able to negotiate with relevant stakeholders
  • National Police Clearance (obtained in last six months)
  • Evidence of 2024 Influenza vaccination (or be willing to obtain)
  • Full working rights in Australia
