Location:
City of Armadale, 6112, WA

Working days/hours:
Monday to Friday, normal working hours

Objectives of the role:

  • Liaise with residents to promote waste reduction and recycling
  • Implement programs providing a communityfriendly waste collection and disposal service.
  • Investigate illegal dumping, collect evidence for prosecutions, ensure compliance with waste collection requirements and conduct bin audits
  • Assist with the development of educational material for waste management issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with displays at public events.
  • Place identification stickers on bins in multiunit sites and multiple collections for single properties.
  • Conduct bin audits at residences and industrial areas and identify multiple bin usage.
  • Remove excess/multiple or illegal bins from properties if required.
  • Deliver new or replacement bins if required.
  • Liaise with Waste Drivers and contractors concerning customer requests, as and when required
  • Inspect bulk waste and green waste compliance
  • Litter/illegal dumping investigation.
  • Coordinate cleanup of litter/illegal dumping with relevant personnel
  • Issue notices to decontaminate recycling bins and notices to decontaminate recycling bins if required

Up to $71,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday
