Our Perth office are looking for a personable and experienced Engineering Recruitment Consultant to join our Temporary/Contract recruitment team.

The Role
This is an already established desk specialising in temporary, white collar placements within the engineering and mining sector.

You will be required to form and retain relationships with existing clients whilst also building new relationships with prospect clients across Perth.

Reporting to Recruitment Manager, you will join an office of energetic consultants who like to have fun. Your career progression will be clearly mapped out for you.

There are currently 8 Consultants in the Engineering and mining temp team with a total of 40 Consultants in the PERSOLKELLY Perth Branch.


Duties will include:

  • Taking responsibility for numerous existing client accounts and growing/ retaining those relationships
  • Developing a business strategy to target new clients with a focus on Engineering roles within WA
  • Meeting with your clients (will have the opportunity to travel to site) to plan recruitment requirements and take any job specifications
  • Creatively sourcing Engineering professionals using various online tools / social platforms
  • Working collaboratively with the entire team, with active contribution to team marketing and training
  • Checking in with clients regarding new and ongoing employees
  • Adhere to PERSOLKELLY's systems, policy, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Meeting agreed KPI activity and revenue targets

Desirable applicants will possess:

  • Ideally experience as a Recruiter specialising in technical roles
  • Some knowledge/experience of mining is preferred but not essential
  • Confidence to effectively carry out business development
  • Good relationship building skills are essential as this role will be tasked with growing accounts and forming strong working relationships with the clients
  • Ability to carry out selfguided research into technical role requirements
  • Experience working in a highpressured environment, meeting deadlines, working towards KPI's
  • Previous experience working with multiple clients and providing transparent communication
  • Fantastic attention to detail and ability to be versatile with conflicting priorities throughout the day
  • A professional and ethical manner
  • Must have drivers' licence and own vehicle
  • Comfortable with computer programs, including CRM's, Outlook, and Microsoft Suite
  • A desire and competitive drive to meet and exceed targets and KPI's
