Why this role matters:

A Teaching Support Administrator, Medicine provides effective day-to-day logístical support for the Medicine program within UNSW Medicine & Health.

The role will report to the Teaching Support Manager.

Key Accountabilities (but not limited to):

  • Act as first point of contact and provide high quality customer service to staff, students and Conjoints for teaching support enquiries.
  • Assist with organising logístical aspects of teaching including timetabling, scheduling teachers, and room bookings / resources.
  • Under the direction of the management team, prepare and process academic casual contracts in line with UNSW's policies and procedures.
  • Organise administration of assessments and exams for the Medicine program and ensure eMed is updated as required.
  • Provide administrative support, but not limited to, confirm potential graduands and selection of students for prizes, maintain student groups in eMed.
  • Support programspecific administration needs including (but not limited to) committee secretariat (L&T meetings), bookings systems, student experience surveys and assist with communicating improvements back to students.

Skills Required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
  • Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced time management, organisational and problemsolving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and contributing to projects and initiatives.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
