About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the School of Medicine. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide high-level administrative support to the school, ensuring effective and efficient administrative and project support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to administrative staff, including on-the-job training and advice.
  • Develop and implement administrative systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Prepare a range of high-level documents, including correspondence, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide financial and HR support, including budget monitoring and reporting.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to students and University stakeholders.
  • Work accurately with detailed information, including data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, and managing correspondence.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the organisation to achieve shared objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A degree qualification with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Proven administration leadership experience in a busy, fluid environment, preferably in higher education.
  • Experience in procurement and financial processes.
  • Strong understanding of administrative policies and procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply them.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering quality customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic and project management, with the ability to meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and student administration systems.
