The role:

The Property Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting, budgeting, forecasting for a portfolio of shopping centres and managing key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. This position is based in Western Sydney, your responsibilities will include:
  • Monthly financial reporting for a portfolio of Shopping Centres
  • Daily Chasing of tenant arrears
  • Preparation and review of all reconciliations
  • Reporting on property portfolio performance
  • Daily MRI reporting
  • Preparation of month-end accruals, journals, prepayments, adjustments, income and expenses analysis.
  • Maintain Outgoings, Percentage Rent and Extended Trade models.
  • Cash flow statement preparation
  • Responsible for the preparation of variance analysis, commentary on performance and key performance indicators.
  • Assist in the preparation of Property & Portfolio Reforecast
  • Upload the budgets in the property management system (MRI).
  • Preparation of annual outgoings estimates.
  • Review annual tax statement for all trusts BAS preparation and lodgement
Skills & experience:
  • Previous experience with MRI software essential
  • Someone with CPA/CA or equivalent qualifications or working towards
  • Demonstrated experience in an accounting or finance role within a Property company
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to ongoing personal development, and improvement of processes
  • Analytical background, and ability to problem solve
