An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Accountant to join a multinational property asset management firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounts payable functions, ensuring all vendor invoices are supported with proper approval and relevant supporting documents. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to utilise their skills in a challenging and rewarding role.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for the accounts payable functions.
  • Ensure complete documentation of all vendor invoices are supported with proper approval and relevant supporting documents in SAP.
  • Prepare instruction letter to Trustee for release of payment and liaise with the trustee on any queries.
  • Monitor Purchase Orders and follow up on outstanding PO and accrued items.
  • Attend meetings with external property management agent.
  • Perform review of invoices and supporting documents provided by the outsourced external property managers.
  • Assist in improvements to policies, internal controls, system, and processes.
  • Assist in yearly statutory audit, drafting of financial statements in accordance with statutory regulatory requirements and applicable accounting standards.

What you bring:

  • Degree in Accountancy with at least 2-4 years of relevant experience in Property accounting/AP.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to think creatively and work well within a team.
  • Knowledge of AASB16, GST, taxation and other accounting regulatory requirements
  • Experience in MRI is essential.
