Fremantle based - Opportunities for independent, experienced Support Workers (no agencies) to join a home-based team supporting an NDIS participant. The person you will be supporting has physical and neurodevelopmental disabilities (including autism).

There is some flexibility around hours and days of work, however commitment is non-negotiable.

What will you be doing?

  • Planning and structuring each day including organising logistics and appointments
  • Assisting with personal care, such as daily hygiene and getting dressed
  • Helping with household chores, such as meal planning, cooking, laundry and cleaning
  • Grocery shopping
  • Driving to medical and therapy appointments (vehicle provided)
  • Providing social support
  • Providing emotional support

What will you need to bring to the role:
In addition to a great attitude we are looking for people who offer a long-term commitment to ensuring essential needs are met and who are genuinely motivated to assist in improving quality of day to day life

Essential requirements include:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role (minimum SCHADS 3.1)
  • Current certifications for First Aid (including CPR), Police Check, NDIS worker screening or Working with Children Check
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID19 including boosters
  • Valid drivers licence
  • Reliable transport (local parking permit available for work hours)

Knowledge or fluency of Auslan would be highly regarded.
