Motor Techniciansfor a

full time position for our client based in Virginia QLD 4014.

SUMMARY
Maintain Diesel equipment operation by completing inspection and preventative maintenance
requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES HOWEVER NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts
  • Keep equipment available for use by completion preventative maintenance schedules;
  • Installing component and post upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures
  • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing major assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts or systems, such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering,hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems,control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems
  • Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, andcombustion control standards.
  • Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
  • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; reporting defects as required
  • Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options,
  • Verifying correct component supplied before installing
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
  • Enhances maintenance department and organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Workmanship should be of the level of 90% and rework should not exceed beyond 10%.
  • Take absolute care of the clients vehicles while in our custody.
  • Vehicle check list must and job card must be filled at all times and signed on completion
  • Report your workplace such as work bench and the workshop of any damages and notify the

DESCRIPTION

  • Keep your workplace and work station such as work bench and the workshop neat and tidy upon completion of each job and the days end. All tools to be placed back in its appropriateplaces.
  • Any other job assigned by the Service, Operations and General Manager in either theworkshop or fuel shop.
  • Jobs are not to be performed unless authorised by Service Manager/Chief Technical Officer/Chief Business Officer
  • Technician to only conduct requested work based on their capability and to advise Service
  • Manager for curtain assistance or training required.
  • Maintenance of equipment.
  • Comply with ISO standards.

  • Certified Motor Mechanic (General and/or Diesel)
