The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Transition Manager. This is a fixed term opportunity with an immediate start until 29 March 2024. The role will lead a small team of dedicated transition personnel to perform transition-out services as required.


This role will suit a leader with proven experience in managing high profile transitions from one service provider to another.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Lead, oversee and deliver the transition out in accordance with the plan, practice notes and service agreement
  • Ensure that the plan is current and meets the requirements of the client contract
  • Partner with and ensure that the business is prepared to perform transition out services in the planned period including resources, personnel and documentation
  • With the business stakeholders, develop commercial strategies to manage high risk activities and obligations
  • Ensure all document and information requests from the client are processed and responded to within the contractual timeframes
  • Ensure the reporting required under the client contract is produced and delivered to the client within the contractual timeframes
  • Identify and manage risks to successful completion of Transitionout
  • Participate in meetings and be a primary point of contact for all matters related to the transition out
  • Assemble and lead a small team of project officers
  • Work collaboratively with all service delivery managers to ensure BAU operations are not disrupted

To be considered for this role you must have;
years of relevant industry experience with large and complex government IT contracts

  • Experience in a commercial leadership role in a complex government ITrelated project
  • Experience in managing service and technology transition projects is highly desirable
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to utilise negotiation strategies and influencing behavior within sensitive negotiations with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and oversee multiple organisational change and largescale transformation strategies, initiatives, and programs, including understanding the impact on communities, stakeholders, and services
