As the Scheduling Analyst, you will be responsible for driving the schedule variations and development process, supporting the network planning process through analysis of commercial and operational constraints.

More broadly, the role will focus on developing schedule options that drive revenue through improved connectivity within our own network and partner carriers.

This position covers all operational and commercial sign-off for international, domestic or charter schedule proposals, and schedule publication (implementation process).


Your main responsibilities will include recommending adjustments to Qantas schedules and capacity, to maximise profitability; for example, bid period, charters, connectivity analysis and supplementary services.

You will also provide operational and commercial sign-off for Qantas schedule proposals and support the 3 Year Planning and Rolling-Forecast processes to balance short-term schedule goals with long term planning needs.


What you'll bring to the role:

  • 2+ years scheduling background, in aviation or related logistics industry.
  • Understanding of key scheduling framework and commercial & operational drivers.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business/ finance / commerce is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem solving and a demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to scheduling problems using own initiative, thinking logically and/or laterally.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to create a clear two way understanding of all scheduling scenarios when communicating to a diverse range of audiences. This includes speaking, listening and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate both commercial and operational nuance.
  • Well-developed numerical and analytical skills with a focus on developing insights not merely analysis.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment with constantly changing priorities and stakeholders where trade-offs are required.
  • Team player and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Enthusiastic, courageous, curious, energetic and diligent.
  • Strong organisational, relationship-building and management skills.
