About the role:


AGA are seeking a highly driven and motivated individual to join one of our valued host employers as a Sports Turf Management Apprentice.

This apprenticeship is full time and will require you to be available
Monday - Friday 38 hours a week with a
start time of 7am and a
finish time of 4pm.


Our organisation is focused on providing support and mentoring to the successful apprentice as well as providing on the job training for 3 years.

About you:

  • Genuine interest in the trade
  • Hard working and reliable
  • Drivers licence and own transport
  • Willing to commit to a 4 year Apprenticeship
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Willing to attend accredited RTO/TAFE training
  • Willing to undergo a hearing test\

What you will do:

  • Produce and maintain sporting grounds
  • Repair damage, restore the field, regulate pest control, and create a safe space for athletes to play
  • Mow, aerate, top dress, irrigate, and fertilize the turf
  • Creating a schedule for field use
  • Operate machinery and equipment
