About the role
A key position in the Serco Team, this role is responsible for providing operational leadership and direction to plan, produce and oversee the production of all horticultural crops required for display within the Fitzroy Garden Conservatory.
This will include but not be limited to record keeping, pest control, supplier management as well as removal and installation of displays as per the contract.
Serco takes pride in managing and maintaining vibrant public recreational spaces on behalf of city councils, promoting enjoyment and participation throughout cities and communities.
About You
Serco have the privilege of maintaining some of Melbourne's most iconic Parks & Gardens.
We have an opportunity to join the team as a Nursery Supervisor responsible for ensuring our nursery is meeting all contractual requirements with respect to the number, health, and variety of plants.
As a key member of Horticulture Team, you effectively lead people to deliver high quality services and adopt a solution focussed approach.

To be successful in this position you will require the following skills & attributes:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- Relevant qualification in Horticulture
- Current manual Driver's Licence
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with strong skill set in displaying plant material
- A solution focussed approached with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in budget management and optimised service delivery
- Selfmotivation, flexibility, commitment & a passion for the industry
