School Nurse

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a full-time School Nurse to work with our team within our Junior School, Grimwade House. Use your passion for nursing to support the development and well-being of young people and provide care for the Melbourne Grammar School community.

Grimwade House is a caring and happy environment which values the particular nature of each child. The School is divided into two well-resourced sections, each with its own classrooms, level coordinator and specially designed play area. The Learning Assistant will work with individual students or groups of students to ensure they are able to access the School's relevant curriculum.

This position is full-time, term time.

You will:

  • Manage the health of students who may be involved in an accident and sustain injuries.
  • Provide ongoing health care to any students with an existing health related illness or injury.
  • Maintain programs which protect and support the health and wellbeing of all Grimwade students.
  • Liaise with parents and staff about student health concerns.
  • Purchase and control Health Centre supplies and assist with the maintenance and ordering of first aid kits for the School.

Appropriate educational qualifications with Registered Nurse (Division 1) and Level 2 First Aid qualifications, or similar, would be considered an advantage in this role.
