The Role
We are looking for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our highly regarded Corporate (Financial Services) team in Brisbane.
The role will be varied including the following key responsibilities:

  • Secretarial support for general administrative tasks;
  • Proactive inbox management;
  • Proactive diary management and meeting coordination including preparing agendas;
  • Active management of monthly billing, client reporting and any related billing queries during busy periods;
  • Conducting legal searches using databases such as, infotrack, globalX;
  • Drafting documents advices, duediligences, correspondence, legal updates, case summaries;
  • Legal research using a range of databases caselaw, LexisNexis, Westlaw etc.;
  • File opening and file management; and
  • Working closely with the other Legal Assistants across the team and firm.

Experience

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and proactive, with excellent organisational skills, and a desire to provide superior support to the team.


You must also demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Ability to exercise initiative;
  • Strong writing, formatting and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external parties;
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines;
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team; and
