  • 3.5% salary increase from July

Council is offering two newly established Project Engineer positions. You will directly report to the Engineering and Traffic Management Coordinator.

About the role:

Given the ongoing growth in Campbelltown LGA, the chosen candidate will oversee the delivery of various infrastructure design projects, including detailed design work, evaluations, and documentation for roads, stormwater systems, car parks, street lighting, footpaths, cycle paths, detailed cost estimates, engineering specifications, traffic management, public areas, open spaces, and assessment of development proposals. The ideal candidate should exhibit the following essential skills and characteristics:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering
  • Prior experience in a comparable role within Local Government
  • Class "C" Drivers Licence
  • Proven ability to forge productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Skilled in engineering with a strong focus on meeting deadlines
  • Experience in formulating and implementing engineering standards, Roads Act, Road Rules, policies, procedures, and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated expertise in producing reports, briefs, and submissions in clear, concise English
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with analytical and creative prowess
  • Hold a Construction Induction Training Card (White Card)
