Reporting to our Manager of Projects. your role will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager and provide technicalassistance in the planning, designing, evaluating, execution and handover of the assigned projects inaccordance with company, client and project requirements.
The tasks you'll perform
- Assist the Project Manager and his team to ensure the quality of deliverables are aligned with the needs of the project / study, the company objectives, the requirements of the clientand meets regulatory requirements.
- Follow the various (project specific and company) procedures, work practices, plans andprotocols required to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work.
- Assist with procurement, inspection and expediting activities.
- Carry out assigned project activities, including site engineer
- duties, in a manner that priorities safety, environment, community
- and quality.
- Assist in regularly maintaining the project / study schedule andbudget including change management.
- Undertake investigation and prepare reports as directed by theProject Manager.
- Participate in the Project quality management process includingcarrying out inspections at vendor's premises and review ofvendor quality documentation.
The expertise you'll bring
- Mechanical Engineering or chemical engineering qualification or equivalent
- At least 5 years post graduate engineering experiencein the heavy Industrial, chemical, energy, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or manufacturing sectors
- PMBOK or equivalent project management qualification favourable
- Ability to influence stakeholders both written or verbal across different cultures
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development
- The ability to travel as part of Project requirements including being based on National andinternational sites from time to time as per Company Policies
