THE ROLE

As the legal assistant, you will be providing high level support to a partner and a great team of senior lawyers in the Wills & Probate law team on a permanent basis.

Your main duties will include but not limited to:

  • Managing multiple calendars and arranging appointments
  • Answering and directing phone calls and messages
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents, correspondence and briefs to counsel
  • Opening new files, filing and archiving
  • Court filing
  • Organising couriers
  • Data entry
  • Time recording and billing
  • Organising and booking travel

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this position you will ideally have one to two years experience in a legal environment in addition to:

  • Intermediate computer skills utilising Microsoft Office Suite and legal doc management software
  • Excellent communication skills to confidently liaise with clients and stakeholders
  • Professional presentation with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to prioritise, be flexible and have a strong attention to detail
  • Administrative or secretarial support services diploma will be highly regarded
  • Experience working in a legal environment will be highly regarded
