About the Opportunity:


Are you currently a house manager looking for the next step in your career? We are looking for a dynamic person who is able to develop and grow the current program to reach more participants and families.

You will be the face of the service, working closely with the Business Relationships and Growth Manager and the Head of Disability, to promote the service and link in with schools, planners and other potential referrers.

Our Short Term Accommodation service, is unique in that we work with children and young people aged 6-18yrs of age.

We make a difference in both the children/young people's lives and those of their families.

What we do:

  • Support children and young people to develop new skills and behaviours
  • Increase independence and develop positive interpersonal relationships
  • Provide a shared care model that works with caregivers and allied health professionals to achieve set goals
  • Promote community participation through regular outings based on activities of their choice.

About you:

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A sound understanding of Short Term Accommodation under the NDIS
  • The ability to develop strong team culture and lead and grow a team
  • Knowledge of the quality and compliance aspects of the role
  • Excellent communication skills, able to promote the service to others
  • An understanding of the requirements for ensuring child safety child safe standards
  • The ability to look for opportunities to be innovative

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualificatin and/or significatn relevant experience managing programs such as Short Term Accommodation.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team, promoting positive workplace culture, effective people leadership and day to day management of a service.
  • Experience with Rostering and rostering systems
  • Working knowledge of budgets and acquittals, including setting and managing budgets against performance targets, creating business plans and reporting.

  • Valid Victorian Drivers license
  • Right to Work in Australia
  • Up to date with COVID19 Vaccinations or valid medical exemption
  • MCM employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID19.
